Post Key Facts
Because I'm lazy, can anyone give me key facts about this musical.

The storyline, character info, production info, it's Broadway / London run, cast recordings, people who have been in it, just ANYTHING.

If you go to the "Shows" part of this website, there's a pretty good synopsis.

FYI A lot of the people on MdN don't reply to laziness.

the 1934 original production starred Ethel Merman as reno William Gaxton as Billy, Victor Moore as Moon, Leslie Barrie as Sir Evelyn and Betina Hume as Hope.

the 1962 revival starred Hal linden (t.v.'s Barney Mller) as Billy, Kenneth Mars (of mel Brooks fame) as Evelyn.

the 1987 revival had Patti LuPone as Reno, Anthony Heald as Evelyn, Howard McGillin as Billy.

Thanks Dawn.

There's been 3 revivals?!?!? That's good.

I found out I'm doing this musical next term and the only songs I know are Anything Goes and Blow, Gabriel, Blow!

Which version are you looking for? I know about the 1987 Beaumont Version the most, but if you're looking for another one I can help lead you in the right direction.

In all of them, the main females are Reno and Hope, and the main males are Billy, Moonface, and Evelyn. Erma/Bonnie, Mrs. Harcourt, and Elisha Whitney are also really good roles.
