I'm going to be playing Hope. I wish I was a guy because I really want to play Evelyn. But my friend is playing him and it should be great because he's hilarious.

This sort of topic never gets old! =) Our show was last year, but oh well. Anyway, I was Mrs Harcourt in the '87 version, and it's still my favourite role out of all the ones I've played so far. (Which totally had nothing to do with the fact that I played opposite a very dishy Whitney and we had crazy good chemistry. *cough*) It just so happened that my little sister was Hope, so that was fun. xD But seriously, it was a great part. My director wanted me to try for Reno, but i was all "uh, dude, I'm a dork. can't do it. comic relief > sexy bombshell, anyway." I practically begged for the part, and I'm so glad I did. Probably could have done without the real dog onstage that refused to move, though.

P.S. It took me forever to actually get the joke in "you know a shortcut?"

I had the good fortune to play Reno (in the 30s version)...twice. Both times were a blast. I'd love to play Hope someday

How did you get the rights to the 1934 version?
the only 2 scripts offered for production are the 1962 revival and the 1987 revival.

actually both the 1934 and 1962 calls the moll character Bonnie.
the 1934 version Bonnie has a song with th angels called Where are the Men. 1962. they put in the 2 cole porter dance songs "lets step pout" and "Heaven Hop" from 50 Million Frenchmen and Paris.
