Post Lord Evelyn Oakleigh
Evelyn is my dream role and two communiity theaters in my neck of the woods is doing Anything Goes, so I need help! I need a good monologue that would kinda fit for an audition for Evelyn. I also need a song but he doesn't sing o much so I should be fine. I really am worried about my apperance so send pics of celebs who look like an Evelyn or differen't styles of hair that fit or facial hair that would work! Any help is appreciated!!!
Thanks so much!

What versions are the theaters doing? "The Gypsy in Me" is only in the 80s revival. For the 1962 version, they will definitely ask you to sing "Let's Misbehave."

just saw a scene from the 62 revival, andf one line for me shows a big difference in the two shows books that make a good joke or something kinda awkward.

1962
"And soon along come little orange blossom"

1987
"And soon along come little plum pudding."

I think a lot of us would agree on which is funnier.

But anyway, Evelyn is a great part, I just finished playing, one of the most interesting aspects of the part is his repression. He holds back all the excitement and angst so he can keep up a good public image, but when "The Gypsy in Me" comes, it all just comes out!I only wish I could have done this show for weeks straight instead of 3 days.
