Reno tapping really depends on choreographer descresion. If she taps, she typically taps in "Anything Goes"

yeah-she does typically tap in ag...i'm pretty sure you're right though-that patti lupone didn't tap...but yeah-our director let us know that Reno needs to tap before auditions happened, and i didn't tap then so I took lessons before I got the role....besides, what would reno do in the song anything goes while everyone else tapped...stand there and watch? lol....anyway-yeah...hahaha

Before I auditioned for Anything Goes, our director hinted at the fact that it would be a major selling point for those auditioning for Reno, if they could tap. I took a few tap classes before auditions and they really paid off, I got the role. I tapped during the song "Anything Goes", with our tappers chorus.

Again, it is all up to the director(s) whether or not certain characters tap, do any kind of dance for that matter, stand on their heads, etc. For instance, our Hope wasn't the best dancer, so for De-Lovely, where she could have been doing the tango with Billy, they did a variation in the middle, a simpler one. It's all about what the director chooses, what the person in the role is capable of, etc.

Basically, this is a hilarious show which I promise you'll have a ball with. Keep us posted!

Yeah I have to agree with you guys. Even though tap might not be in the origional script the directors could easily change it. It the same as adding charectors and stuff. So im sorry Solome you may know about the origional versions but no one can tell exactly what the directors are going to choose.  SO keep us all updated on how auditions go.
