Post "Orphan's" Esther= Mary Lennox, gone psycho!
Dear "Secret Garden" Fans,

I have seen trailers, and t.v. spots, for the upcoming (7-24) horror/ slasher movie, "Orphan", which concerns...

<SPOILER ALERT!>

a sinister, old-fashioned-looking orphan named Esther.

Am I the only one who thinks that Esther seems to be the psycho version of Mary Lennox? (Search Youtube for "Orphan" if you'd like to see Esther in action!) I know that Mary Lennox has blonde hair, but still...

She and Esther are both orphans. She and Esther are both travelling to new homes. She and Esther both want control of their own lives. She and Esther are both shrouded in mystery.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I want someone who's the deviant version of Fred MacMurray, David Tomlinson & William Schallert....but who has the looks of guys like Dan Haggerty, Kris Kristofferson & Tom Selleck.

I know it's been quite a while but I saw the advert for Orphan a few weeks ago and thought exactly the same thing! Esther seems to be Mary without any redeeming features.
