Classical Ragtime has been played on steel-strung acoustic guitar now for a fair few years - certainly since Dave Laibman and Eric Schoenberg brought us the LP "New Ragtime Guitar" in 1971 where they played (mainly) duets, splitting the right and left hand of the piano (and harmonies) between them.
Since that time there have been many solo ragtime players on guitar too.
