There's a photo feature up at Time Out showing the cast moving from modern day dress into period costume.

They're using the original production's costume design? At least it looks a lot like what I remember seeing onstage at the Shubert. The designs were nice but by no means definitive.

I wanna see this sooooo bad.

Thanks for posting all this stuff about the revival of Ragtime! I'll be seeing it in March.

Wow!

I like how it evokes the same sense of scale and complexity as the original but is actually much simpler. Gorgeous.

What always makes me laugh is that this show and Guys and Dolls both have a leading role named Sarah Brown...and yet the two parts couldn't be any more different. lol

I believe it's the same costume designer, Santo Loquasto.
I have the original Ragtime souvenir book. They added some different costumes for Evelyn Nesbit:
Prologue: White Bustier and bloomers (same)
Crime of the Century: New: White vaudeville costume with gold accents/crown. (Lady Liberty). Evelyn is on her "Red Velvet Swing" which hangs from a Justice Scale. Henry Thaw and Stanford White are in oversized red or blue vaudeville suits. The Original had Evelyn in a black sequined corset, fishnets and high boots suspended from a large red velvet swing from the ceiling with EVELYN illuminated in billboard sized letters behind her. The jurors wore oversized black and white balloon suits with partial rubber face masks with white hair and mustashes.
Evelyn gets a great red sequined number towards the end of act I and then wears a sequined black corset number for Sarah’s Funeral. In the original, this is what she wore for “Crime of the Century”.
In Act II “Atlantic City” Evelyn wears a playful red and blue old fashioned swim suit with bloomers and an oversized hat. She laments ‘I’m in New Jersey, wearing even less” but she is wearing more that what she wore in “Crime of the Century” :) . If I remember correctly, the original had Evelyn in a red little outfit. I will be the first to say I have a hazy memory, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong
