Post Ragtime Revival Closing
I just thought I'd post this article so everyone would know that the Ragtime revival will be closing on January 10th. I'm disappointed that Ragtime didn't last on Broadway as I know many people are. ... 01255.html

I also have a question. I was talking to a friend of mine who is into musical theatre like I am and we were wondering if Ragtime could go on tour after closing on Broadway. The article even states that Ragtime did better in Washington than in New York. Ragtime would be able to pay for their costs and/or make a profit off the musical. Would this be possible?

I think Ragtime did better in the D.C. area purely because of the type of venue it was at: The Kennedy Center. You have the people who have the season subscriptions.

At least that's my mom and my take on it.

I'm so glad i saw it then.

Currently: No theatre, busy with music education.
