Post 10,000 Performances
I believe either yesterday or today was the official date of the 10,000th performance of Phantom. Very few shows have gotten to this many performances, and it's something to celebrate I think!

The 10,000 performance on BROADWAY. The West End production reached that milestone on October 24, 2010:

There were quite a few mishaps during the show, the most noticeable ones was that there were barely any fog during the title song, so you saw the floor all to well. The trap doors too. Also, the chandelier started blinking like crazy during PONR. At the curtain call, Gillian Lynne's speech was delayed because her mic didn't work. As a compensation Hugh Panaro said "use me", in reference to his head mic. In response she jumped on him, to which Panaro reportedly bent her backwards and crooned "At Last" a la Etta James. Hahaha!

Here you can see the video greeting which was streamed at The Majestic yesterday; the West End cast and Cameron Mackintosh congratulating the Broadway cast on their 10,000 performance:

Tons of Phantom alumni was also present.
