They were removed shortly after they were put out, so I assume it was either a mistake Amazon did, or a way to create a buzz.

I'm still on the fence music with the whole thing...part of me anticipates it and the other part says that will end up in disaster.

I listened to them before they were rendered mute, and it's hard to judge about the music. There are a couple of nice tunes, some recitative, and one rock song, "The Beauty Underneath" (shades of Steve Harley). ---Can't tell if there is some way they will jell into a coherent score.

It's easier to work out much of the story, which stinks. Yes, little Gustave is the Phantom's love child as many suspected. God knows how or even if they will explain when he was conceived. The Girys, Madame and Meg (who as in so many fan fictions is probably in love with the Phantom) are angry beause "Mr.Y" (groan) has given his new, wonderful music to Christine and plan terrible revenge. In the last track, Meg (last seen holding the Phantom's mask up in awe in the original show) is apparently going to drown Gustave. The track is 14 minutes long so anything is possible in the 13 minutes that folllow what I could hear.

Fan fiction crossed with Jerry Springer and soap opera.

Well they're up on the US amazon.com now. I think Beauty Underneath could totally be another Phantom rock hit, but the lyrcist is pretty bad...sorry to say. The one song I think has the potential of being epic, (besides the finale, cause ALW's finales are awesome) is "Devil Take The Hindmost" looks like a confrontational duet between Phantom and Raoul.

It is. My cd arrived. :D The first time I heard it a few phrases sounded a little strange, but the second time through I recognised later melodies in them and they didn't sound odd at all. I actually really like it.
