how big of a role are the townspeople in this show?

Post how big of a role are the townspeople in this show?
I am wondering what the townspeople/chorus do? How big a role is there for the chorus? How many songs do they sing? thanks!

Kansas City
It's A Scandal! It's A Outrage!

A lot of the stuff depends on the director and/or choreographer and what they want. For example, a couple of girls could be added into 'Kansas City', but it could also be executed with just Will, the boys, and Aunt Eller. Also, a couple of other girls come in at the end of 'It's A Scandal! It's A Outrage' and drag the boys off. Overall, it's a really fun show to do.
