Dear "Miss Saigon" Fans,
For awhile, I was wrestling with the idea that Tam is "3" during 1978; I was assuming that he turns 3 DURING 1978 (so that he IS three, or so that he's CLOSE to being 3), and THAT would mean that Kim would've HAD to have conceived him 9 months earlier, which would mean that he would have had to have been conceived NO earlier than March of 1975!
The only problem that I kept seeing was the fact that Kim doesn't even MEET Chris until April of 1975! Immaculate conception? I don't THINK so! LOL! The Engineer's baby? I don't THINK so, because she's NEW at the club when she meets Chris, anyway!
I became frustrated, trying to justify the "fact" that Tam turns 3 during 1978. I said, "Well, what if he's a premature baby, or something," but I kept thinking that Kim would've SAID something if her son had been born early; even the "Premature Baby Theory" didn't work!
I am SO glad that I found the following newspaper article, because I am FINALLY confident that since Tam is healthy, he MUST only be 2 1/2 during 1978!
