Oh a video thread...

Normie Rowe with Bring Him Home...as impressive as his biography!

And now I love "HIMYM" even more!

The Polish cast of Les Mis performs One Day More in a mall, flash mob style. How I wish I would've been there!

The Finnish/Swedish cast of Les Mis performs One Day More too, not in a mall but in a theatre awards gala. A lovely performance except for the fact that Enjolras's mic doesn't work...

If you have listened to this 10 year-old girl's I Dreamed A Dream, you may find that "cute" is not always the right word to describe a talented singing child - she looks as if she has gone through what all Fantine has experienced when singing the song.

p.s., I searched the link and did not find it being posted before.

Wow, she's amazing! I like that she says she loves Ruthie's version :D

In response to that video, I'm gonna post the same thing I commented on youtube "There go my eardrums. Seriously, why can't any of them sing? Why does Javert look like a gay pirate? Why does Marius sound like a dying cat? Why do the Thenardiers sound like timid children? Why do they assume that because it takes place in France everyone must wear a beret? Why can't they harmonize? Why did the audience applaud? Why did the music director decide to put on this play? If I were there I would either leave in disgust or march onto the stage and play the 10th anniversary concert."

Thanks David, for totally putting a smile on my face; a seemingly impossible task today up until now.

My favorite from their production is "Lovely People" where they jack Fantine's food then go rolling on the ground after a squash, potato, banana, whatever it is.

This Marius is .. awesome. In a way. Still, now they're on youtube, does the sentence fit the crime?

BTW: My daughter just remarks Marius doesn't sound anything like a dying cat. He sounds like an angry, very angry, duck.

A musicAL friend of mine, who is not a professional singer, has offered his Chinese voice over Philip Quast's Stars at TAC.

Two things ironic you may be interested to know:

1. "Police [警察,JING CHA]" is a censored phrase in China, and, if found in your posting, it is often replaced with ** [wildcards], giving an additional, subtle meaning to this song title.

2. Youtube is not accessible in Mainland China, so the most hitters will probably be non-Chinese.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it somehow.
