Is Marius or Javert a more vocally demanding role?

Post Is Marius or Javert a more vocally demanding role?
I'm pretty sure the Javert has more stage time than Marius, making him a slightly bigger character, but I think that Marius is more vocally demanding than Javert. Is this true?

I'm not 100% certain, but I think you may be right. Javert is pretty much a straight bass-baritone role (though tenors have played the part sometimes), whereas Marius is a tenor or high baritone role (though different productions have used different keys for "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," possibly depending on cast requirements).
