Post The silliest things you've heard people say/ask about LM
Not necessarily negative comments, just really stupid statements or questions.

Example, when I saw it in London a few weeks ago, we got all the way through the first act and then, during the intermission, some (adult) guy behind me asked his friend, sounding VERY confused "Which one's Marius?"

I can see how LM could be a bit hard to keep up with if you've never seen it before and aren't paying attention, but "which one's Marius?" after watching Look Down through to One Day More? Oh dear.

When we went for my birthday last year my 12 year old brother was forced to come. Questions he asked:

Randomly through Look Down; 'Why did that girl cut her hair' Refering to Fantine, you could tell he had been thinking about that for a long time.

Also, a few years ago when I was watching the TAC he asked me what a prostitute was, that was an awkward situation!

Marc can be a little bit blonde sometimes and as Valjean came on for the factory scene, I whispered to him that it was Valjean. He thanked me later cos he hadn't realised

The classic is about Les Mis being an Andrew Lloyd Webber show

Oh, I hate that misconception. Yes, ALW has done a LOT of shows, but not every single one that's out there. I don't even think LM really sounds or feels ALW like anyway...the only ALW show it's really similar too is Woman In White and LM is miles ahead in the quality department there.

Ye gods, I've heard that one so many times, drives me craaazy.

Once in a show, someone kept mixing up Cosette and Eponine, and I heard her saying after the show, "That was so sad when Cosette got shot and died in Marius's arms, I wish Marius knew Cosette loved him!" and I went, ????

During the oboe solo, I actually heard: "Oooo clarinet!"
Idiot.

My friend once asked me how you pronounce "Enjorlas". The saddest part was I didn't know!!!!! (I haven't actually seen it).

Well that may be hard since it's Enjolras.

The thing I hate is when people write 'Les Miserable' or when they pronounce it terribly wrong.

"I don't get it. Who's Eponine in love with? Thenardier?"

I have no friends. Really.

During a London performance, the woman behind me claimed that character was Fantine.

AARGH YES.
That's one of my all-time pet peeves...I've heard it so many times, both actually in the theatres or elsewhere. Just say Les Mis if you can't say the whole title. My band director mispronounces it, but he's just doing it jokingly and everyone knows it, because he's a mizzie. But honestly, it's not *that* hard to pronounce! *palmface*
