Post You know you're obsessed with J&H when...
A lot of shows have this kind of thread, so... now this one does too! And I don't care if I am the only one who posts in it, because it is that awesome.

I'll start off:

You know you're obsessed with J&H when you open a newspaper, read a headline that says "It's a dangerous game", and you cannot help but smile.

When you're doing Les Miz, and one of the first things you think of is "I hope the guy in Lovely Ladies will have a tophat and cane... 'cause it would be such a J&H moment!"

(Yes, it is my J&H moment)

You've tracked down as many of the movie versions of the original novella as you can find and can discuss the merits and weaknesses of each one at the drop of a hat.

You spend hours on YouTube watching videos from the various foreign and regional productions of the show, trying to find the "definitive" staging and/or performance of <insert song title here>.

You've read the scripts for the original Victorian stage productions of the novella.

You wish Lucy and Emma were in the original novella (literary sacrilege!)

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now! :-)

Do I sense some sarcasm?

Good show, not by a long shot... show with fantastic potential were it re-envisioned with a decent book writer/lyricist, yes.

Adding to the list:

When you spend March Break locked in your room writing journal entries from different characters' POVs.

You went to every rare DVD store in the city to track down the 1941 movie.

You smile every time you see a top hat, a walking stick, a man with long hair hair, or a fur coat.

Dangerous Game is both your most watched video and most listened-to song.

You can do The Confrontation better than some actual J and H's... and you're a girl.

You spend your spare time rewriting lyrics to cut songs from the show and mentally adding/replacing them into the version of the show that only exists in your head... and your microsoft word program.

I don't know about that. Most people I've heard agree with what I think.

Great, music, TERRIBLE book....

It's my zenith of guilty pleasures in the musical theatre world.

A cookie if you can spot a PSAT word in that sentence. Good God... lol
