Hm...I always viewed Jack and Little Red as big roles, bordering on lead. And I always wondered what curtain call would be like if the Wolf and Cindy's Prince were played by two separate actors, since that's probably what'll happen if my school if we do it.

The one I saw had Rupunzel's Prince playing the Main Wolf.

Either one of them could work, really...but Cinderella's Prince has that whole dialogue near the end of the show discussing his lust and neverending hunger, which is why he's cast as the wolf, usually.

I can see why a director would cast Rapunzel's Prince as the Wolf, though. If you consider it, doing the Wolf in addition to the smaller prince role would effectively give you the same amount of stage time as Cindy's Prince by himself. That would be the only reason to do it, I think.

To Tumnus: I think it was because it was Westenberg. If you notice (on the DVD case) he gets his name mentioned ahead of everybody but Bernadette, if I'm not mistaken.

When I did ITW, the curtain call went like this (it was the most bizarre thing ever):

Crew

"Villagers" (a 3-person chorus that did basically nothing) along with Snow White and Sleeping Beauty

Cinderella's Father, Cinderella's Mother, Stepmother/Stepsisters, Granny

Wolf, Mysterious Man, Jack's Mother, Steward

Rapunzel, Rapunzel's Prince, Cinderella's Prince, Little Red *

Jack, Narrator, Cinderella *

Baker, Baker's Wife, Witch *

The lines with * mean that each person in the line got an individual bow. Everyone else bowed in the group.

That's a weird curtain call. O_O

How did the Steward get a higher bow after the Stepmother and Stepsisters?

I wondered the same thing.
Also, the R/RP/CP/LRRH ... was weird.

I was mistaken about Westenberg, though ... he was credited fourth or fifth or something. But still, he was credited where others with roles larger than his weren't.

We're being diplomatic (and lazy) about the whole thing. Since this is really an ensemble show, we're all taking a mass bow, gesturing to the pit, then mass bowing again.

Our production pretty much followed the Bernadette Peters bows with some weird changes.

Cinderella's Father, Stepmother, Step Sisters, Steward, Snow White (We had now Sleeping beauty and Snow white didn't even Yawn she just walked across with Rapunzel's Prince)

Rapunzel's Prince, Cinderella's Prince (Both leaped out to center stage and bowed)

Granny/Giant's Voice, Rapunzel (This choice confused me so much because I am not kidding when I say our Rapunzel was tone deaf)

Jack, and Jack's Mother (Not complaining with my Bow order didn't mind it too much except I would've liked to bow with ...)

Little Red, Cinderella (Considering the first group was so large I would've liked it if they lumped Jack's Mother with Granny,Rapunzel so I could have bowed with Little Red and Cinderella since I say those 3 parts are equal in importance in my opinion)

Narrator/Mysterious Man, Baker, Baker's Wife (Only complaint I wish Baker's Wife would've had her own bow our BW was awesome)

Witch (No real complaint except our director made a speech when we went over bow orders about how The Witch only bowed last cause she was Bernadette Peters and the witch might not necessarily bow last in our production but what does he go and do makes her bow last, just seemed rather pointless if you ask me0

We just blocked our curtain call.

I can't say that i agree with it.

1-3 Chorus (its High School, so no one was cut...)
4. Sleeping Beauty, Snow White
5. Cinderella's Mother, Mysterious Man, Granny
6. Stewards (we split the role), Stepsisters, Stepmother, Cindy's Father
7. Rapunzel, Rapunzel's Prince, Narrator
8. Jack, Jack's Mother, Milky White, LRRH
9. Cinderella, Cinderella's Prince, Baker, Baker's Wife
10.Witch

I think their could have been more groups...opinions?

You mean Cinderella, Cinderella's Prince, Baker, and Baker's wife all bowed together? Then the Witch has her own? I would think to split those last couple groups up some more!

I've seen Milky White listed in bows a few times. Do people really put a person in a cow costume? Ive always seen it with a fake cow, and a bad fake cow at that. It seems funnier that way.

I'd personally put the Wolf with Rapunzel and R's Prince size-wise and C's Prince before Jack.

I always have a tough time making this curtain call, usually cause I'm not sure where to place Cindy's Prince...with Cindy or with Rapunzel and her prince.

1. Sleeping Beauty and Snow White
2. Father, Lucinda, Steward, Florinda, Stepmother
3. Granny, Wolf, Jack's Mother
4. Rapunzel's Prince, Rapunzel, Cinderella's Prince
5. Little Red, Jack, Cinderella (each would get an individual bow)
6. Baker's Wife
7. Baker
8. Witch

This bow seems fair to me...what do you think?
