I haven't clicked the links, but I'm sure you're talking about Hannah. Yes, she's great for high school. Her acting is rather irritating, but the vocals are literally near-perfect. I've been following her stuff for years. Her Sour Kangaroo is to DIE for!

She's a great representative of what I've always said about most teenagers attempting adult powerhouse roles. While she is quite a talent for her age, she isn't ready to make mature acting choices or form her own interpretation. She also is simply too young to sell an adult character (and that's a stage that's gotten more and more prolonged for young performers over recent years). What is wonderful about her is her potential, if she is guided by the right hands (which is not the case right now - judging from this production, she has been led to copy the interpretation of another actress, sing into her body mic ( ) from contorted positions, and take the easy road in tough acting spots). I hope she finds the right hands to help mold her, because she sure has the goods to be great if they're developed well.

She's going to Ithaca. She'll be on Broadway in no time, I'm sure.

I should tell one of my friends who is going to Ithaca that she played Mama Rose. My friend who is going to Ithaca also played Mama Rose in the version of Gypsy I was in :)

I don't think that's the problem. This is clearly an amateur performance; whenever watching a high school production, there always needs to be that suspension of disbelief.

The girl certainly has presence for her age, but her acting is terrible. Sooooo forced and over the top. Every time she has an emotional line, she starts screaming and yelling like a 5 year old having a meltdown.

She's actually Vivienne on the national tour of Legally Blonde now...

Competent actress.

I find it difficult to forgive HSs that choose to do Gypsy. Perhaps I find it even more difficult to forgive my school for not doing Gypsy.

Amazing Voice. Her acting is painful to watch. I couldn't wait for the song to end haha.

^^ I wouldn't say her acting is painful lmao. Even with her flaws, she's better than 90% of ANY high school performer I've seen.

Here is her "Ladies Who Lunch". Ironically, Beagle, despite her lack of life experience, she "got" the song more than most actresses twice and even three times her age, especially more than one user on here. ... eature=sub

Totally channeling Patti Lupone there, voice and all. I see an imitator, not an actress.

I hope she's shaken off such bad habits now that she's pro.

^^ One must remember, in high school, one is subject to a director more than anything else. But watch her Ladies Who Lunch. It isn't Walsh at all.

And again, for a high school, she's better than most, if not all high school girls I've seen, vocally, I mean.
