I'll know and I've never been in love before are quite high songs and I want to sing them lower, up the octave I sound too ugly opera-ish (vibrato, etc) and find it harder to breath.
However, sarah's used to singing church hymns like 'Follow the Fold'. is her voice suposed to be quite conservative and old lady singing church hymn-like? heh has anyone else struggled with this range?
I'm afraid that when I get nervous on the actual night It'll sound terrible. At one point she has to sing a C, 2 octaves above middle C, eek, I think Ive only reached A before!
Any advice from past sarahs or experienced singers would be helpful... (or anyone!)
(does anyone know the song 'This is my lovely day' from bless the bride?)
