I was myself, hehe.... We used our real names, with our lines divvied up.. I know sometimes people don't like when the lines are divided like that because it lacks developement of a character. But we made sure each line was fit for each new sort of character we made with ourselves. (Maybe that sounds weird, but it worked really well for us.) Anyways, I started off the solo of On the Willows. Pretty much the most depressing song, besides the finale, haha... I teared up everytime I got up there to sing it, because it was after the last supper and all, and usually after I started crying a little the whole audience started following suit.... I miss performing Godspell so much.

I'm reading the part of Gilmer, but I think I'm splitting some of my lines with another person to allow for 12 disciples. I think we're going to end up using our real names as well.

Post Part I Played etc
Hey. Im new to M.N but i'd just thought i'd post seeing im addicted to musicals :D

At the moment im playing Jesus in Godspell, and i'm finding it the most demanding role i've had - and i've had a few. The thing is, with Godsepll it's good to keep it paced and quick, as it loses it's spark if you let it drag. Being the lead, naturally Jesus should keep the pace, but this is so demanding :!:

But dont get me wrong, i apsoloutely love the show, i adore it, it's great fun and is very strong. I'd just like to add the we have 9 pricipal roles, and 40! yessss thats 40! choral kids :D

Im really looking forward to it!

I was in the ensemble.
We had like, 30 people.

Anyway, I sang for Martin Luther in the "Prologue/Tower of Babble."
And I also sang a solo in "Light of the World."

Post Who I palyed in Godspell..
I am playing Jesus :D
it's great fun and i love it,
it was a daunting show at first,
how fast and quick and witty we wanted to make it,
and then the total opposite at the end.
But we are deffinately pulling it off :D
cant wait till, 22nd 23rd 24th March.

I'm playing a blend of the roles Jeffrey and Gilmer. We're still in the early production stages and we don't know how many people we have but we know we have no more than 9, more than likely only 7, so someone has to play double roles, and since I have the most experince, (With the exception of our Jesus, but he's like, five years older or sometging) and am daughter of the director. We're not going to preform until sometime this fall, but we've given roles to anyone we know is going to preform

I played guitar, does that count? It might be the best musical for a guitar player out there. I also played the ukelele for the part that most productions have Jesus playing it. That was awesome.

Totally OT: Baker, your sig says you're in "Cats" currently. Is that a community production? I'm doing "Cats" right now and the music director said we're the first community theater production of it. I never thought to be skeptical of that assertion until now.

Your director lied. The rights have been available for 2 years, I believe. Don't quote me on that. But yeah it's definitely been done before.
