Well, my long-awaited ANNIE audition is this Sunday, and I wanted to thank you all for answering my many questions. Wish me luck!

Well, not that many of you will care, but I didn't get into the show. Oh, well.

Did you get any feedback that might help?

Well, I wouldn't call it 'feedback', but I found out later what I did wrong. The choreographer said that I had too much trouble with the dance. However, when he was teaching us the dance, he said that the footwork didn't matter as long as we smiled and sold it with our faces, which I thought I did that, but apparently not. Then, the musical director said that I sang the wrong song (although really, for ANNIE, what is the right song?) So, that's all I know.

...

that's helpful.
I suppose you know that you need to work on your dance skills, especially picking up dances quickly.
Just out of interest, which song did you sing and which character were you going for?

I wasn't going for a specific character; just Ensemble. And I sang "Love Sneaks In" from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Feel free to ask more questions. :)

I'm not familiar with the song.

But if you were going for ensemble surely the song isn't that important? As long as the director can hear the quality of your voice?
It's an actual question- I haven't done anything outside youth theatre and we audition with songs from the show so I really don't know.
