In a negligee and garter belt, no less. Carol Burnett is always golden, and even saves this one.

along with the brilliant Albert Finney.

And as much as I don't care for Ann Reinking as a person, she's easily the best Grace Farrell I've ever seen. The choice to make her a belt role was inspired.

*"Annie"- I'm not entirely sure why they included this song. For one thing, I think it should have been placed before "New Deal for Christmas" to make it seem like a proper finale. On the other hand, I think a better choice for the finale would have been "We Got Annie" (like at the end of the 1982 film version).

Perhaps you don't like the song itself, but the placement of a song of some sort, sung by the maids/servants and Drake/Grace is absolutely nesessary at this point in the show, as it gives Warbucks and Annie just enough time to do a quick change into their "I don't need anything but you" costumes. This song is not the finale, however. After "Annie" is "I Don't Need Anything but You", "Maybe - Reprise", and "New Deal for Christmas"
