i would say go for it, but you have to remember that Annie is an 11 year old. Its not about age its about looks and how you playoff the character (acting). for example: do you have boobs, what are the heights of warbucks and grace?, can you act young?, etc..

I am 14 and i just got finished playing Annie at a professional community production. I thought i was too old but i had a shot because i am only 5 foot and i had the voice. It is really not about age, it is about your apperance and how the character itself comes off.

you should go audition, if you dont get Annie there are MANY other parts that are so much fun to play!

good luck!

I have the opposite problem! I'm 14 years old and 4'11" and I have the voice and dance skills for Annie... but I looked too YOUNG on stage to play Annie!!! I look like an 8-year-old on stage, and the director wanted someone who actually looked 11 years old... lol but it was to my advantage when i later got cast as Little Cosette in les mis = )

I'd say it's more the height that matters than the age.
