I played Annie twice, once when I was 14 and once when I was 15, I'm a midget lol so I got away with it! It was so fun, altho the red dress change was a little nerve racking...

I got a call from my friend who was choreographer for a local community theatre and ended up doing Bert Healy for the show in the last week before the show opened due to the original getting sick and having strep thoat. Luckily i had done the musical number before in a talent show.

Hey cool! And your signature says Pepper. Did you play her before? I ask because I played Pepper!

I unfortunately don't get the stage to myself. :( The director had this idea to have a dream sequence as I sing where I imagine myself dancing on Broadway. The choreographers got a little excited and put the girl dancing center stage and plopped me off to the side where no one looks at me. I'm a little dissapointed but I love my part.

The Star to Be was the most awesome part to perform. It's such an awesome belting part of the show. I love it! What emotion and energy! I was so honored to play it! My director said to me when we were in rehearsals that the S2B was his favorite part of the show, and he really wanted to see it sparkle. I hope I did well. We have an intercom system so the actors in the greenroom/dressing rooms can hear where the show is so they don't miss an entrance. I was told by an orphan that all of the orphans stopped talking while I was singing and pretended to be me. I guess they liked the solo!

So, I was the Star to Be, maid, and a Hoovervillian. I think I was too "mature" to play an orphan...
