Post Company... as a movie
A lot of people who I have talked to have said that Compnay would not work/would make a bad film, but I disagree. I actually think it would be wonderfully on screen. What do y'all think? What would you change and how would you present certain songs/scenes.

I think that the film should be directed by Woody Allen with Hugh Jackman as Bobby.

Sam Mendes directed a movie of the musical in 1996. It wasn't too good, as the IMDb entry for it says.

There has already been a movie? Wow. That's... odd.

Anyways, in a NEW version, I would have Christine Baranski as Joanne and Bette Midler as Jenny.

That is not a film version of the musical. It's a video production of the London revival.

You're correct. I am tripped by my wording of phrases yet again. Many thanks.

Jessica Lange as Joanne. Stockard Channing never appealed to me in musicals.

Post Stockard! Stockard! Stockard!
I don't know whether Jessica Lange has ever appealed to me in anything. And it's not that I think she's bad or anything. Her work has never made any particular impression on me at all.

So I'll keep on imagining Stockard Channing. She'd be my ideal film Joanne at this point point in time. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Lange is one of America's true great actresses. She is also the leading female interpreter of Tennessee Williams.

Lange has all the qualities for a great Joanne.

Never bene a fan of Stockard Channing. she was dreaful in th revival of Lion in Winter. she was boring in Grease., Annoying in Six Degrees of Seperation.
Correction; she was good on West Wing. but thats the only thing I really liked her in.
