I love this song; it's not only one of my favorite R&H songs but one of my favorite MT love songs. I can see how non-R&H fans can absolutely use this song as an arugument for how R&H are old-fashioned, but to me the song absolutely works. It's also very special to me because I sang this song for my very first musical audition and got in! So who else loves this great song?

It is a sweet, pretty song, perfect for a fairy-tale romance.

Do they? How? I don't think it at all indicates that R&H are old fashioned :|

I just don't think there are many traditionalists left who truly appreciate R&H (or the Gershwins, while we're at it) in a world of Sondheim and JRB. Creative melody lines and melodic/lyrical closure have become a thing of the past.

This song is absolutely phenomenal! It's a beautiful duet and it gives me chills every time I hear it! However, my school is doing a school version of R&H's Cinderella, so, sadly, they speed it up quite a bit! I just love the line "I have found her. She's an angel, with the dust of the stars in her eyes." And the reprise is gorgeous, as well. :)
