Post Stepsisters' Range
I went to my local theatre's website for Cinderella audition information. I was looking at the character descriptions and for the stepsisters, it says the singing range is C4-D4. That can't be right, can it? I'm not an expert on naming notes like that, but isn't that only 2 notes?

Also, any tips on auditioning for a stepsister?

I love the stepsisters!! I would definitely be trying out for them if we ever did the show. I never have auditioned, though, so I can't tell you anything from experience or anything, but I would sing a humorous (or at least light-hearted) belt song, like "Shy" from Once Upon A Mattress, or "Can't Get A Man With A Gun" from Annie Get Your Gun.
And yeah, I think that is only two notes... hmmm....

Not sure about the whole C4-D4. But it sounds in the range of Second Soprano. I played Portia! So, I know that during 'Stepsister's Lament', 'When You're Driving Through the Moonlight', and 'Lovely Night' the stepsisters were around the ranges of Second Soprano. Cinderella would be Soprano.
