I noticed in the newest movie the Jason Alexander part tickles on of the stepsister's feet to get the shoe off....is this in the script? if not, is it something a lot of productions have done since the release of the movie? I think it's a cute idea.

I don't think that is stipulated in the script. As far as I recall, both stepsisters try it on and fall down and the shoe moves down the fitting line quite swiftly. But there is a shoe-fitting montage with the villagers that allows the director and choreographer to do as much or as little as they want to do with the sequence and I guess the Herald could tickle away there!
