Post Fiddler On The Roof, Aldershot, UK - 22nd to 27th March 2010
The Cody Farnborough Operatic Society is proud to present their next production – “Fiddler On The Roof” by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LTD on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York. The show runs from Monday 23rd March until Saturday 27th March 2010 at Princes Hall, Aldershot, Hampshire.

One of the most successful musicals of all time, ‘Fiddler On The Roof’ ran for over 3000 performances on Broadway when it first opened.

Tevye is the father of five daughters, he is a very poor Russian milkman with a wry sense of humour and his own personal hot line to God. He believes in “Tradition” and when his daughters all want to make their own decisions about love and marriage his beliefs and traditions are challenged.

There are memorable songs (’Sunrise Sunset’, ‘Tradition’, ‘Sabbath Prayer’, ‘Matchmaker’ and many more), the fabulous bottle dance (with real bottles!), dreams, heartbreak and happiness all to be found in this superb musical which brings the world of Anatevka to life on stage.
You shouldn’t miss it, it will make you laugh, it will make you cry and it will reinforce your belief in life!

This family show is going to prove very popular with our audiences so we recommend that you contact the box office TODAY to avoid disappointment.

This production follows a succession of critically acclaimed musicals performed by the Farnborough and Aldershot based society. Established for over 80 years they are probably one of the largest societies in the area. Most recently they were proud to receive three National Operatic and Dramatic Association awards for their production of “The King and I” including the coveted Accolade of Excellence.

Tickets are available for each evening performance starting at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee starting at 2.30pm. Contact the Princes Hall box office without delay on 01252 329155. Alternatively, for tickets and further information please visit our website at www.cfaos.co.uk.
