I missed it again, and nobody brought me to task. It has been 16 years since the Angels gave Toireasa her wings, but it helps to remember her... This year, I should have done this sooner...

Our little cat-sister was only 5-years-old when Neuroblastoma took her from us, and I know we still have some members out there who remember her. This Forum did some real support work when her Mother told us about Toireasa - something we all should take some pride in. FYI - for the story, go to my website and check it out.

I should feel some remiss in this. Having Parkinson's Disease, I can sympathize with some of what she went through. NB is a rather harsh cancer and painfully takes you piece-by-piece.. PD takes your movement and speech and your memory. We both suffer in pain... However, I know my affliction is mild compared to hers. When I think of what she went through, my pain is nothing. That keeps me going - knowing that if a 5-year-old girl can fight her way through NB, I should be able to take on PD -- Me and Michael J. Fox and a ton of others...

My thoughts here? When your philanthropic mood strikes you, think of a children's charity, and remember Toireasa....

Here's to you, Princess. May your memory never fade...

15 years now. How time files. Wow. I was thinking abuot her the other day while going through some old things. Interesting how memories get stirred up.

I'm glad her mother is doing well and has become an inspiration of her own: ... uperpower/
