I've heard a lot of people lately refer to Tarzan as the best Disney score of the films released in the 1990's. Does anyone here believe that to be true? I am an unashamed Menken fanboy and find the three 90's Disney scores he didn't write (Lion King, Mulan, and Tarzan) to be severely lacking.

Hm, I hadn't heard anyone saying they considered the score for Tarzan to be the best out of the '90s Disney films. I'd personally disagree since I much prefer the scores for just about every other Disney film that decade (especially Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and yes, Lion King), but to each their own. Did any of them give reasons as to why they felt Tarzan had the best score?

No, and it's not really something I can ask about.
