Song for Clayton?
How does everyone feel about Clayton not having a song? I agree with an earlier poster who said that it was disapointing that the composers chose not to follow in thradition of great villain songs like Gaston's or Ursula's songs. What do the rest of you think?

TARZAN: a Song for Clayton
I can't say that I feel disappointed by Clayton not having a song. Why should he have a song to carry on a "tradition" when it has nothing to do with the storytelling of the show in which he appears? What would the dramatic setup be for this song? I don't see a moment where Clayton could sing in a way that would define him as a more complex or successfully delineated character. It would simply be another piece of padding, like most of the material that Disney uses to flesh out their theatrical productions. This is quite possibly the most common problem of Disney shows when they are adapted for the stage.
