Post Tarzan to close in July...
I've known this for a bit (and have hinted to it in prior posts) but can now officially say...

Tarzan is (unforunately. YES unforunately!) closing in July.

This is very depressing to me. For several reasons. One, because I LOVE the cast recording, think its amazing, and just...great cast, great music. Two, they closed Tarzan Rocks down for this. It better stay up. Haha. Three, because I had REALLY wanted to see it. And four, because TLM could SO go there and leave Beauty alone. Argh.

But what I don't understand is they sit there and say 'oh, the cast recording is on billboard' and oh, 'people love it' and yet they still close it. It's disgusting. I'm very disappointed. Big condolances to the AMAZING cast!

Because people buy the cast recording to try it out.
Then they realize how much money they just wasted
so they don't go buy tickets.
The show is closing because people stopped buying tickets, obviously. It isn't based on how well the OBCR is selling.

But, I have one last comment.

YAY!!!!!!
*happy dance*

Not EVERYONE felt that way you know. I know quite a few people, including myself, who love the soundtrack and listen to it all the time... its a matter of preference, I suppose. I LOVE Disney, so of course I love this show. Its got a FANTASTIC cast and amazing music.

More people hated the show than loved it I'm afraid.
I've not listened to the music, or seen clips of it online, so I really can't judge, I just heard from a lot of people it was really cheap-looking and stupid.

The soundtrack IS awesome... I listen to it daily.

But the cast recording is really bad.

Some of the cast is good, I'll admit.
But the first time I listened to it, I could have sworn Tarzan was being played by a girl, no jokes. I honestly thought it was a woman singing in the opening number..... nope! It was Strickland.

I was upset. But I've decided.

The show is crap.

Disney can do soooo much better, I mean look at the set design, a blow up bouncy castle with rubber vines and a few fly rigs.

If any of you have ever saw the Tarzan Encounter in Disney Paris, don't you think the set for that is way better?

Oh no! I would have enjoyed seeing it. Wow, that's really disappointing. Thankfully most Broadway shows havn't been completely erased from history...if you know what I mean. ;)
