Your Dream Boy/Girl

What is your dream boy/girl/husband/wife/whatever like
Describe him/her
If you have one already, describe them Smile
Matthew

I'll meet him on some silly message board.
Beagle On Stage

5'1" to 5'7". Pretty face, tight body, 34 C. Hair a little longer than shoulder length, blonde or brunette. Catholic, or Catholic-friendly Protestant. Conservative, or moderate. Fashionable and sociable. Knows beer and likes to bring it to me. Enjoys the missionary position. Between 16 and 21. Interested in marrying young and having babies.

And do you know what? I may have found her.
Kiwi

a straight guy into theatre who's not a douche, and not a republican, and preferably not mormon but I can't be too picky about that hereabouts. Good-looking wouldn't hurt, either Wink
metaphor17

Physical characteristics:
Long-ish blonde hair (curly or straight, whichever), blue or green eyes. Tall, medium to skinny build. Dresses with a distinct, cute style... not just Abercrombie or something, but not just t-shirts and jeans either. His own style. Smells nice. Has a cute smile (I like dimples). Cute glasses, if he looks good in glasses.

Talents and personality:
Must be musical! Preferably a good singer who can play some other instruments (piano, guitar, etc). Should also have some acting talent, theatrical experience or at least an appreciation for the theatre. Well-read boys are always a plus. Must be intelligent, even somewhat intellectual. Should be confident but not cocky. Christianity would be a definite plus. A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR IS NECESSARY. He doesn't have to be a comedian or anything, but no super-serious guys for me. Spontaneity and romance are nice Smile

^ Oh dear, I have combined my two best guy friends in that post. Greeeeat.

Laughing good one.
My ideal woman would have to like musical theatre and action movies and sci fi. All music except rap (I can't stand it) and must want children. I want to be a father more than anything. I don't want someone who is obsessed with politics because that subject causes nothing but fights. It wouldn't matter where she is from or what her ethnicity is. I like all women. She should be open minded. I don't want someone who is noisy, rude or snobbish. I don't like people who think they are better than others.

I was waiting for someone to respond with something like that Laughing

And Chev, that sounds a whole lot like a combo of two of the guys in my theatre program, as well.

I like perfection!

Dear Musicals.Net Posters,

I am in love with perfection, so I doubt that there will ever be someone who's perfect enough for me.

I can't nessesarily see myself living without someone, and yet, the very idea of a mundane, typical, survivalist existance (Ie: "Honey, we need more cookies, eggs, and cereal!") terrifies me; I won't want to spend my entire life wondering if I didn't choose the perfect person. I want an expensive house, or several, and domestic employees, and a nanny (I will NOT change diapers, or clean up spit-up, or wipe runny noses)

I want someone who is wealthy, protective, etc., and someone who wants to spoil me rotten for as long as I wish to live, which may be many years, or a few, depending upon what I finally decide upon as the proper lifespan for myself. I wouldn't even mind genetically engineering a daughter (I already know her name, and I know exactly what her coloration should be, and I know that she's going to be a U.S. Olympic champion, but I know that I will NOT endure pregnancy in order to have a child).

Most of you might think that I'm crazy, or that I'm in danger of raiding a science lab, but if there were a perfect robot out there, I'd marry them! Besides, you can literally turn a robot on...anytime! LOL! Wink

Thanks in advance for your replies, and tell C3PO that our date is on for next Friday.
Wink

And once again, Duchess sets a new bar for herself, surprising and challenging us all.
happyguava

My ideal girl would be pretty, but not obsessed with looks, intelligent, funny, creative, unique, she wouldn't take life too seriously and she actually wouldn't mind being around me.

You know, I think Jaymie thinks along those lines too, just as a hunch.
Amber

My ideal guy. Hmm. It'd be nice if he were way taller than me, for sure (not hard considering I'm 5'6"). But shorter is okay too. Dark hair, dark eyes, a soothing voice, and a funny smile. I don't care about nationality or ethnicity or things like that. It'd be cool if he had long-ish hair. Smile I'd like someone who can appreciate the theatre and love it because I love it if he's not into it himself, though preferably he would be into theatre as well. He should have a good sense of humor, but not be one of those guys who is stupid and turns everything into something sexual for laughs. Those guys are so not for me. I don't care if he smokes, as long as it's not crazy, like two packs a day or something. Drugs are a no-go. He should have an interest in doing stuff other than the stereotypical "let's go watch football" thing. He should WANT to get married and be a father one day, but not right away.

I hope he'll just love me as I am, even with my random little quirks and tendency to be paranoid. We could sing together and just sit wherever and hold hands and enjoy each other's company and not worry about stupid petty things.

I think I've met him. With two different guys. I'm not sure who I like more. Or if they like me, though I'm ninety-nine percent sure they do. I KNOW who I like more, and I hope he sees me offstage and was sincere when he said I was beautiful.
NoOneMournsTheWicked

Tall, dark, handsome.

Must have a sense of humor and appreciate Will Ferrel and Dane Cook.

No drugs, drinking okay (I really can't say anything about that.)

Theatrical talent a plus, but some kind of ambition is good.Only an appreciation of theater is acceptable.

Can deal with the fact that I get jealous, and is able to just let me know that I have nothing to worry about- and not do anything to make me feel that way.

Likes to be doted on, but not smothered and will do that same in return.

Can deal with the fact that I'm the world's biggest chatterbox and tend to repeat stories.

Wants to get married and have a family eventually.
LaurelDP

Tall, older, domineering, controlling.

Love.
fjays

MUST have a sense of humour.
laughs alot.
preferably having curly dark hair...

Smile
thats all i want in a boy <3
Cake_in_Song

Will elope with me and move far, far away, because I am f*cking through with everything my life has to offer right now. Even this horrifying combination of apple rum and cran-ras juice.

Me? Awww..
I might be getting old.
curlyhairedsoprano91

Physically: Honestly, it doesn't matter. Yes, it matters that he is good looking ... but I don't have a "type." He just can't be any sort of "modern" fashion trend, no skaters or surfers or rockers or anything. No weird hair or terribly weird styles or anything. Oh, and ... 5'11" or taller would be nice.

Otherwise ... in a perfect world, he would be a baritone. A damn good one. And he would be able to teach me things about the world, and have lots of intellectual conversations. He would sing duets with me and analyze social issues with me. Somewhat sophisticated sense of humor. "Male humor" need not apply. Preferably 1 to 8 years older, and ... I know this is wrong ... the tiniest bit possessive. Willing to marry me when I'm 23 or 24 and in large part help raise the kids (somewhere between 2 and 6 of them). I want a man who will help bring up my kids with a sense of dignity and compassion.

... Is this long enough? Yeah.
Tenalto

Gilbert Blythe. 'Nuff said.
Mistress

Physically, I'm into those really blue eyes that just make you go Drool (like Hugh Laurie's), or darkly handsome men with dark skin and hair and chocolate brown eyes...but not Spanish dark...more like Rufus Sewell (mmmmmmm....)...curly hair and cheekbones like his wouldn't hurt either... Laughing

He will have to eb able to put up with me, enjoy musicals and watch romance movies,, but I also love a good action movie or thriller, so it wouldn't be too hard on him...he'll have to be fun enjoyable, and not too serious about things.

you and me both. I hate it here. If I had my way, I'd move to London or NYC.

I don't care where, just not here. I have to choose between NOT studying acting at school and NOT being with the love of my life back home. Yay, fun choices!
wicked_diva

My dream guy would be straight, at least 6'1" (so I can wear 3" heels), funny with a great sense of humor, witty, a great singer (and a good actor), nice and polite, intelligent, a true gentleman, yet someone I can really have fun with. And it wouldn't hurt if he had some money. Smile But really, that's secondary.

My best friend fits all but the 1st and last qualifications... Sad
MusicalGal1194

Well, mine would have to be a straight theater guy or a straight sports guy. Good looking, hot body (athletic body, not a wimpy skinny build) witty and can hold his own in an intelligent conversation. Chivalrous. Supports my musical theater ambitions and will come to every show. Preferably he'd be a hot sporty guy who can also sing dance and act. So that way we can share thater. Someone who is polite to their elders (teachers, coaches, parents, directors, etc.) and yet can have fun and goof around with me. They have to be a good boyfriend, someone who actually cares about me. Must have a plan for the future. Maybe someone who wants to get married young-ish, you know? Like not right out of high school but maybe a year or two into university? Who knows. And like someone said previously, he has to be interested and planning on getting married and having kids one day, but deff. not right away. But yeah, that's my dream guy.
Kiwi

Ok. I feel like continuing.

Someone I can have a good conversation with. That is one of the hottest things in the world to me. I've started liking people I was only friends with before just because I had a good conversation with them.

Someone who can make me laugh.

Someone who I feel like I can be myself around (don't you love the cheesiness? but seriously...)

Knows how to have fun and loves being spontaneous.

Romantic.
DaddyDiesel

Its tough to say. I have dated a quite a bit and the things I use to think dreamy change with each person. I think it easier to list things I wouldnt want than things I want because I find a perfect girl is like an amazing drink. Only the perfect blend of ingredients will make the drink great. Somtimes you dont even know what they are.

Right now all I will say is that single, would be a key ingredient.
kozafluitmusique

One of my best guy friends is the perfect guy for me.

Just everything about him....perfect. Seriously.

Unfortunately, I can't describe him...except he's a wonderful singer, actor, very Religious, sweet, and aaaaaah. I could go on and on about him. But I'm too scared that somehow he's going to find out before I go back to the states this summer, because one of my friends (who's like one of my little sisters) is dropping him semi-hints at school.

Drool

Yep.
wicked_diva

Oh yeah, that's something else - I wouldn't want some uber-religious born-again person of any religion. And I don't think he could be an atheist, either. But Jewish, or Christian, or nothing at all, as long as he believes in God.
lonewriter

also, I do not want a woman who just wants my money. I have worked hard all of my life to get where I am and while I want to share everything in my life, I don't want a gold digger. I want someone who can accept me for who I am, my good qualities and bad. One of my bad habits is that I am not a morning person. Don't even speak to me until I have my coffee. Very Happy btw, diva, I love the Hogwarts avatar! Smile

Only halfway... haha.
Okay, maybe more than half. But definitely not all.

Like I said, mix of my two best guy friends!
Except the whole "not cocky" thing. Because they both are a lot of the time.
ThatPuppetGuy

Hmmm, my dream girl...

Someone who I've been in a show with in the past, who's about the same height as me (maybe a little shorter), I prefer darker hair colors so that would help, can tolerate my puppetry and my appreciation/fanboyism towards the Muppets (which turns a lot of people away from me) and actually pleasant to be around (not too quiet).
Orestes Fasting

Geeky-smart, classically pretty without eight tons of makeup, emotionally low-maintenance, with an offbeat sense of humor. Long hair, a beautiful voice, and willingness to participate in spontaneous Regency-themed tea parties would be a plus.

And no freaking baggage. Your ex-boyfriend, co-dependency problem, disaffected cynicism, or refusal to take your prescribed anti-psychotics is not my problem.
