OK! So.. earlier in the summer... I started prepairing for an audition for YAGM,CB. And today... we found out the results.

I am Lucy Van Pelt!
So yes!!

I was Linus in a production of YAGMCB (Original) back in May and I had a blast!

I hope you have fun torturing the guy playing Linus! Lucy got to (fake) knock me out in one of the scenes. Very Happy

Are you doing the Original (1968) version, or the revival (1999)?

Yeah, the big differences between the Original and Revival are:

Patty is replaced by Sally
Beethoven Day and My New Philosophy are added in the revival
The music's slightly different in a few songs

The Patty in the Original wasn't Peppermint Patty, it was a different, not so popular Patty that not many people know about (she jumpropes).

I kinda wished we would've done the Revival, because Sally's in the revival (she has a crush on Linus, LOL).

Yeah, Beethoven Day and My New Philosophy aren't in the Original, they were added for the Revival. I haven't heard Beethoven Day, but I know My New Philosophy a cool song.

Have fun with all of Lucy's songs! They're very catchy and there's so much you can do with them! For your brother, My Blanket and Me is a very fun song to perform. I loved doing it, part of the reason being that that was the first time I got to have my own song in a musical. Linus was my first big part, and I loved it! One more tip (LOL, I'm obsessed with this musical, obviously) for your brother. I don't know how long the blanket you guys use will be, but when he has to dance with the blanket, fold it in half so it doesn't drag the floor. Unfortunately, I didn't figure that out until Tech week. Embarassed

If you want any more tips, just ask! I love giving tips and stuff. Very Happy

Yeah... we don't have a blanket yet. we basically just started.

Also, the girl who played Lucy in your production.... did she yell? like..
because I'm haveing trouble with that.. well.. i can yell, believe me I can. But yelling so I dont kill my voice is the problem.

also... Listen to Beethoven Day!!!! It's amazing!!!

She did yell (and I was usually the victim, LOL). There was one line where I suggested something to her and she screams, "I'D RATHER DIE!" She yelled that.

She also yelled a bit in a few songs, like in The Doctor Is In. Such as, "You HAVE the distinction to be," etc. It was actually pretty funny because screamed right in Charlie's face.

My advice is to not go overboard during rehearsal, but when it's to to perform the actual show, do yell.

But what im scared of is the cracking during the yelling.. and like.. in Schroeder. I yell like the whole thing haha.

We are excited. We are twins.. as you prolly can't tell. I look like our Dad, and he takes after our mom. haha

No one believes that we are twins until we talk, we have like the same voice. Weird, huh? haha

And yes, we have A LOT of girls... because it was a class thing, and only 5 boys auditioned for the class.. and got in. haha oh well. So we have like.. an all girl chorus hahahaha

Yeah... this should be a WHOLE lot of fun!!

That's odd...The YAGMCB I was in was a class too (actually a youth acting troupe within a class, hard to explain).

Linus (me)
Schroeder
2 chorus guys

Our Snoopy was actually a girl. The guy who directed ours had actually directed YAGMCB at an all-girls college. Consider that!
