You know you are addicted to Miss Saigon when:

1)You email Cameron MacIntosh and ask if there will be another UK production.

2)When you know there won't be in the near future, you check flights to Australia.

3)You spend all day downloading a six min clip from Limewire.

4)You order Hey, Mr Producer from Amazon, hoping that the same clip is on the DVD.

5)You order a documentary about the Vietnam War from Amazon.

6) You shout Allez, Allez, Allez at your kids to get them to hurry.

7)When watching American Idle you think he or she will make a good John, Chris, Ellen Thuy (no one seems good for the part of Kim or the Engineer.)

Yes we do get American Idle in the UK and yes I have done all of these in the past month....

The Very Angry Woman

Wow, all that is so original. I am blown away.

Don't forget to add "...you make one of these lists!" Surely that's a sign, because everyone is so clever they add that, too.

Then you are by definition British; Scotland is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Wink

Scottish Or British?

Not for much longer. Razz

Yes I know I am British, but I am Scottish 1st, British 2nd.

What Is This Feeling?

for me: when i spend the whole day on a Saturday searching the web for pics and galleries of John Napier's wonderful scenic design

...when you've seen it four times and will see it again at least twice more (this is all in Melbourne 2007).

...when you spend thousands of dollars on a high-end DSLR camera mainly because you're meeting the cast and want great pictures from it.

...when you walk downtown Melbourne and look at everyone hoping it's one of the cast members strolling.

...when you buy most if not all merchandise at the show.

...when you buy most if not all MS items on eBay.

...when you check every MS clip on Youtube.

I'm seriously considering that now!

Somewhere

--You can't watch/hear a helicopter taking off and flying away without thinking of Miss Saigon.
Doesn't help that I have to walk past a hospital on the way to university, and at least once a month, a helicopter lands on the roof there.

--You plan on naming your son Tam.

--You plan on naming your daughter Kim.

-when Your teacher wears a shirt where "SAIGON" is written, you called her Miss Saigon the whole day.
(yeah, that's why she never wore the shirt again)

Isn't Tam a girl's name?

I know a lot of Vietnamese people named Tam and they're all girls...

I guess it could be for a girl or a boy.
I also know a girl who's named Tam.

When you listen to a foreign recording before you listen to an English one of it Smile

...when you actually learnt more about the Vietnam war from Miss Saigon than you did from the three months of studying the 'Conflict In Vietnam' section of your GCSE History course Smile I think I actually may have used the phrase 'Then it all changed with Dien Bien Fu' in my final essay. Smile
