Oh I love "If I Can't Love Her" it's so beautiful. IMHO it's the best addition to the original score. Not only that, it gave the Beast a much needed solo whereas in the movie the Beast had very little singing.

My favourite song in B&B is "Me"! It is really cool. I sing it all the time, and I used the music to make a song for a friend who lost her dad... I tried to cheer her up..

I love the songs "A Change in Me " and I also love the entr'act , I know the entr' act isn't a song but I think that the music is gorgeous. Oh by the way it's not "Tale as Old as Time". I am doing "Beauty and the Beast" as a duet with a girl from school for a Choir. My favorite song, though, is "Belle." It's a great group number and very upbeat. "Be Our Guest" comes in as a very close second!\

I adore Home, I think it is the most beautiful song ever! Although I imagined Belle having a higher voice, but I suppose the version I heard does go up to an E, which is reasonable. But still, Home in goregous, and Something there is nice as well.

I also love Me, but of course for VERY different reasons. The "we will be a perfect pair, rather like my thighs" bit cracks me up every time.

What is your favourite song in Beauty and the Beast? My favourite song in the show is "Belle", which is (in my opinion) one of the greatest establishing numbers in contemporary musical theatre. In just a few minutes, one is able to completely understand the lead character, the world in which she finds herself, and her relationships with the characters that surround her. It's an amazing piece of writing.

Oooo good question! Well I play Belle in my schools B and B, so my favorite song to sing is "Home," but as someone who is just listening to the songs, I think my fav song would have to be "The Mais on de Luje(sp?)" and "Belle." No one said Mais on, but I think it is genious! Although it sucks because the arrangememnt on the CD is different than in the show's music, so its not as cool. But it is still a good song.

"A change in me" is not on the CD. It was added later for Tony Braxton. It's a shame because it is a beautiful song!

Wow, I can remember being backstage every night thinking, 'I LOVE this song' to just about all of them.

I too am biased, Beauty and the Beast is the best. I love introduction, it calmed me down so much before entering.
We didn't have real strings in our pit, but there's that part in the movie version where she sings 'just a little change' and the violins do this gorgeous little thing. Oo, melts me.
