Yiddish dialect

Hello there.

My director is really gung-ho about having us do the Yiddish dialect. We have been supplied with a phonetics packet, but what would really be helpful would be being able to listen to someone with an actual Yiddish accent. So...I was wondering if anyone was aware of any audio resources that are available.

Thanks for any help you can give!

As much as I'd love to, I can't take credit for finding this. It was posted by what_the_heck013 a little while back, but I saved the address because I'm planning to use it for my upcoming production of Fiddler, lol. I haven't checked it out yet, so I'm not really sure if you'll be able to find what you're looking for, BUT, I thought it couldn't hurt to post it for you. Good luck learning the accent! Very Happy

The closest any movie character came to speaking with a Yiddish accent was Molly Picon's Yente.
