Yay! Another person who recently turned 16! (My birthday was last month). Congratulations on hitting the high E. I hope you didn't damage anything! Now you can go audition for the nearest production of Phantom!

Scary...

Do you know what's scary?

I hit the high "E" when I was about 12 and can still hit it now, perfectly. I can hit it in both tenor and falsetto. My falsetto sounds frightingly soprano-ish. I have been mistaken for an opera recording, or something. When they find out it's me and not some recording of Kiri Te Kanawa, they = Shocked

And I'm a dude...with a reeeeeally deeeeeep voice.

They should've cast me as Christine. I would've made a better and prettier one, than that Emmy Beioootch. She didn't have nearly what it takes and was a grand source of shame.

At least I'd give Christine some balls.
ShadowInTheWings

I'm sure both Raoul and Phantom would thank you for giving Christine some balls. Wink

That's great! Very Happy
I'm 18 in a week and I can't hit it yet Wink
(I've only had training for one year though so... who knows Wink)
Miss Daae

Just be sure you're hitting it right. You can damage your voice if you're not.

How would you describe "hitting it right"? I have been able to hit it for a while now, I'm 15, I don't want to be damaging my voice.

How would you define hitting it right? I am hitting it open voice with a relaxed throat and I think my voice is doing fine.
Anyway thanks everybody!

Well I guess one could say that when you hit the note and your throat is immensely sore afterwards, that you are not hitting it right Wink
happyguava

Haha, okay, fair point, so I'm not hitting it wrong then.
