Here's a rambling mess for you lucky lucky folks to read.

AlRIGHTY, I am a HUGE phantom fan and I LOVE Andrew Lloyd Webber's work- but there are a few things about him I don't necaessarily like....

He just- gets on my nerves. True, I think he's a genius (note the phantom avatar. lol.) but I've been meaning to ask other musical obsessives like myself- What do you think of him? And What do you think of his ex wife Sarah Brightman aka the first Christine... Did she even have to try out? Well- I'm sure it was a give away- she's a wonderful singer... but very wooden on stage- then there's the whole concept of Christine's character supposed to be wooden.

Ah- post your thoughts I'm dying for conversation here. Also- feel free to jump in randomly and reassure me that the world agrees that Michael C. is a better phantom than Gerard. Gerard is too pretty for Erik in my opinion and though I loved the movie and like Gerard- I met those who said he was better than Crawford. No way.

btw.... I KNOW Michael Crawford isn't so gung-ho on being thought of as only the phantom. I know he's an awesome singer on his own, but he's the best phantom.

Also- in the movie... I MUST say... ALW did a great job in picking andre and firmin!!!!!! I loved them int he movie- so funny. brava brava bravisimi (sp? anyone)
