Worth it?

I know this show is getting great reviews (at least it did, last time I heard). But all the same, a whole show based only on a dream? To me, that just doesn't seem worth the money. Or is it?
xani

Definately, definately worth it. I wouldn't call it a show based on a dream really, either. It's more based on...a passion for good musical theatre and a vivid imagination?

Of all the shows I have seen, I would say that Drowsy was the "best", taking into account everything about it. It's a really, really good show.
BringMeToBroadway

Yeah, I was about to say, not based on a dream. Hehe. It's based on a Musical Theatre Addict who still owns records and, like xani said, a vivid imagination.

I saw it, and the laughs you get from it alone are worth the money. But the score is amazing too. It's wonderful.

Plus you get some good old-fashioned AMAZING tap-dancing. What's not to love?

and its an outstanding cast..Jane Leavel is sheer brillaince. Sutton Foster is dynamite..Edwart Hibbert & Georgia Engle are a delight..

I think you mean Beth Leavel...
Salome

yes..why did i say jane? lol

probably reminds me of Jane White from OUAM
BringMeToBroadway

And Edwart Hibbel is gone, I think. He was Underling, right?

Bob Martin is amazing, too! The funniest thing I have ever seen.
Salome

aww did Hibbert leave? who replaced him?
BringMeToBroadway

Yeah, I think he did... He wasn't there when I saw it in January. My friend said he left to do Curtains.

Peter Barlett replaced, says the website. He was good. But Hibbert was better, judging by the cast recording.

What's the name of the duet between Engel and Hibbert? It's the only TDC song I've heard so far, but I can't remember the name.

It's called "Love is Always Lovely in the End" and Georgia Engel left the show as well as Sutton.
Mimi Marquez

Totally worth it. In my opinion, one of the best shows currently on Broadway. Phenom cast.

Of 14 Broadway shows I've seen, when I saw Drowsy on April 6, it immediately became my favorite show. It is so worth getting tickets for.

I know I am the 50 millionth person to confirm this, but yes, it is DEFINITELY worth it. It was a wonderful show Very Happy
