What do you already have in your rep if anything? Sondheim - you may want to check out something from Sunday in the park with George or Passion. Wonderful Town - “Look at her” from New girl in town for a ballad or “Once in love with Amy” from Where’s Charley for uptempo.

hijacking your post - sorry
I just saw that a theatre around here is doing Assassins. I'm 18, so I'm pretty sure my only shot would be for Lynette..but I'm not a belter. I'm a soprano perhaps mezzo soprano.
Anyway, what are some song options? I was thinking something from "Hair" to go with the whole hippie thing, but any other ideas? thanks!

Definitely sing a Sondheim nr, Hair is not appropriate. What Sondheim do you know?

I don't have any Sondheim in my repertoire other than No One is Alone from ITW - but I'm familiar with his shows, and have time to learn something new.
What were you thinking?

For 40s/50s (depending on your range) you *might* be able to find an audition length cut of Soliloquy from Carousel (cuz the real thing's 7 and a half minutes) another idea is Paint Your Wagon's They Call the Wind Maria
For Assassins - look into Epiphany from Sweeny Todd, but keep in mind that the accompaniment is hard to play, another great Sondheim song is Being Alive from Company

I don't think "Noone is alone" is a bad choice actually. As long as you learna more character type, bit more belty Sondheim as your contrast and then let the panel pick.
