Hi!

I'm interested in putting on the Witches of Eastwick and would love to know (if you've been in it/seen it/are just fantastic!) how one might make Felicia throw up all the things she is supposed to (inc. a candle and cherry pips!)

Also any comments you have on the show itself are much appreciated,

Where are you from?
The only amateur productions that are available are especially liscesned by Cameron Mackintosh and there are only 12 productions in the UK, i like a lot of them have been done so far.

The script is re-written for the amateur showcase productions but i think that whatever Felcia spits up is the same. In our production, Felcia wore large horrible nighty/dress thing. It had really big pockets where the actor would just use her hands and then bring the item up to her mouth when it was meant to come out.
With regards to the candle, we used a magician's candle where it is actually 1 inch long and then springs out to 12 inches. If you have seen the show, you should know that Felcia spits loads of cherry pits at the end of the song, we did this using the tap in our set, with a pressurised canister, i guess, with loads of cherry pits coming out of the tap as she lent over the sink pretending to be sick.

Similar things in the recent production in my town.. she had bits of string and 'magic' candles and other things in her sleeves etc, and she only coughed up a couple of cherry pits as opposed to a bucket-full.

Another thing.. they got the crew to throw down clothes onto the audience from the boxes during the "Dirty Laundry" number.. lots of g-strings and bras and other icky things.

Oh, and pyrotechnics (though, not overdone!) are always good when Daryl gets angry at the end.

Sorry, but me & my brother were overwhelmed at how good it was. You might know him actually, he was a munchkin in The Wizard Of Oz..... His name's Luke. Weren;t you also the prince in tickledom?
