Wishing You Were Somehow Here AgainI can't seem to find the perfect version of this song. I hate Sarahs version. Emma does a fantastic version but I want to find a really powerful one. I saw Kathleen Battle perform one year at Carnagie Hall and she did the most amazing version. I was just wondering if any of you knew a good one for me to buy.
Thanks!!

I personally recommend (as always) Elisabeth Berg's performance in the swedish version.

Well, if you want one in English, I suggest the Original Canadian Cast Recording...Rebecca Caine is amazing!

Have you heard her latest rendition, included in "Brightman sings ALW" or something like that? I truly love that version. So much more emotional, so controlled voice, and she ends with the high note.
If you want to hear a non-English version, I would recommend the Korean (Hye-Kyung Lee), Swedish (Elisabeth Berg) or Dutch (Joke de Kruijf) cast albums.
As for an English languaged one, Claire Moore does a lovely one in the studio album with Graham Bickley/Ethan Freeman. Moore was the original alternate in West End, and Emmy Rossum actually remind a lot of her (though I prefer Moore by a mile, both judging technique and timbre).
And as suggested, Rebecca Caine in the Canadian cast recording is also lovely. Best of luck!

My favorite Christine ever is Rumi Iryo from the 1999 Japanese cast.

I like Emmy's, myself. Sarah's I find no fault with. I'm really not a fan of Rebecca's.
Possibly the worst one I've heard is Michael Crawford's version. That song, quite obviously, was never written to be sung by a man, and yet, he did it. And it sounds horrible.

Personally my favourite versions are Emmy Rossum and Rebecca Caine's. Theyve got lovely voices. (Rebecca's is more powerful then Emmy's though.)

I loved the Spanish recording with Julia Möller.

Rebecca Caines is the best in my opinion. her voice is very strong but not overdone.
