Will YoungSomeone told me today that Will Young, an ex Pop Idol winner (also starred in Mrs Henderson Presents), is to join the cast in the new year. Anyone else heard this?

its not true its a roumer my teacher is conected with wicked as she has been asked to write reviews and she found out that it was all roumers

I think its probably a plausable rumour - I happen to really like his voice, and it would mean my friend might finally come to see Wicked with me - Will Young stalker that he is...

Will Young was seen at the theatre, being given the VIP treatment. That's it. That's the only nugget of fact in the whole rumour-mill of Will-Playing-Fiyero. It's a complete tabloid fiction that's been running for a month or so, Will Young's management have denied it completely as I understand. I think I saw that Adam Garcia's leaving March/April time, and someone put that together with Will Young seeing Wicked, and putting 2 and 2 together got 1523!

Well, thats encouraging, at least. I think he could portray the character well, but I dont think his voice is strong enough. For some reason, I just dont like the idea of him being in the cast. The show is to some degree about female power. If hes cast, his fame will drown out Helen and Kerrys, and lets face it, Fiyero isnt that huge a part.
