Wicked vs. PippinThis might be more on the composer side of things rather than Wicked itself, but as I've listened to Pippin after hearing all of the Wicked music over and over, its interesting to hear the similarities from when he was younger until now.
I challenge you all to listen to Pippin music and then Wicked music, if you already haven't, and find similarities and post them.
Also, if this kind of thing interests you...
Try all of Andrew Lloyd Webber's music..
Compare Joseph to Phantom and Jesus Christ Superstar...
Have fun

probably similar because Schwartz and Webber suck

Schwartz has a similar style with all of his shows.
You can find similarities in them all.
The same can be said about any composer, really...

Of course! I guess to clarify, I meant the specific things...
Popular sounds kinda like No Time At All from Pippin...

That's not a good thing, that a bunch of his songs sound similar.

Well...whether it is or not, it's still fun. This thread wasn't started to debate composers.

I like Pippin a lot.
I'm going to see it tomorrow.
I don't like Wicked a lot.
I'd have to be paid to see it.

except No Time At All is a far better song.
actually Pippin is Schwartz's only good show for the stage.
I see nothing as good as pippin's score anywhere in Wicked.
