I cannot BELIEVE Wicked beat My Fair Lady, Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, Into the Woods, Avenue Q, Chicago, Kiss Me Kate, Chess, Anything Goes, Follies, Gypsy, High Society (among many others) to best musical!

It's just ridiculous!

however i am appalled that it went to trash like wicked over sweeney todd, sitpwg,assassins , grey gardens,ave q, urinetown etc etc

I like Wicked as much as the next guy, but it doesn't even begin to hold a candle to Sweeney Todd, Assassins, Into the Woods, Follies, Company, A Little Night Music, Beauty and the Beast, Titanic, Parade, Ragtime, Les Miserables, Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot, Avenue Q, [title of show], Grand Hotel, Pippin, Big River, and Chicago, for starters.

UGH this is just wrong.

well if it was the horrible johnathan pryce revival of MFL i see the point of that not winning.

Congratulations Wicked! Wicked probably won because it was the most popular out of all the musicals. The Wizard of Oz touched many lives and hearts and so has Wicked.

Look, I can tell you're a bighuge Wicked fan, but you gotta admit...Wicked can't hold a candle to half the other shows on the list.
