I personally don't like it as much. Looks like an ad for some Vegas stripper show. I prefer the more stylized Broadway one.

Agreed. It looks oddly sensual and sparkly. Just look at Elphaba's smile.

I prefer the american one. Something about the english one makes me think of "glamour shots by deb"...

After seeing the two, I prefer the American. The American version looks more artistic with its somewhat minimalistic lines which intrigues the viewer to take a moment to stare at it in order to make out the image. I like its somewhat representational art. The British one on the other hand sort of defeats the original intention and takes some of the mystery out of the image. It's much more realistic looking.
To represent a thing or idea, I prefer it to be itself representational rather than actual. I love the cat's eyes on a black background for CATS, or the mask for Phantom, or the cartoon Cosette for Les Miz. The more I look at the British poster for Wicked the more I think...no...no...you already have it wrong!

And besides all that, in the British one, Glinda's arm is way out of proportion. Granted, it is in the American one too, but they can get away with it because they're not making it look real.

I love the American one..it's jsut classic..the englkish one is pretty good..but it doesn't give the clean-cut look that I like..and I don't like glinda in the English one..it is fancy though!

The English Glinda gives me the creeps! She's like a cross between an angel and a corpse....*shudder* oh yes, and i do agree her arm is waay out of proportion!

I think the 3d look does kind of ruin it. I think it's more the 3d glinda than the 3d elphaba. really creepy.
