Why Green Room?We have used a classroom for the off-stage actors in our school play and have labelled it 'The Green Room'. However, nobody seems to know why it is called this - can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!

Every theatre calls the backstage hang out area "the green room"
it's just how it is.

In real theatres, there is a room near the dressing room area that the actors use to hang out before the show, during the show, and after the show. It is typically painted green because green is considered a calming color.
