I'm confused, I haven't seen the musical yet, however I listen to the soundtrack a lot.

Why do Elphaba and Galinda end up hateing eachother?
Is it because Galinda dates Fearoh?

And Why does Elphaba sing No Good Deed, what did Fearoh do?

Can someone please give me a brief summory of the story, please?

Ok, short story even shorter. Elphaba and Fiyero who's currently engaged to Glinda fall in love. Basically it's my best friend stole my boyfriend scene that is happening at high schools everywhere. Then, when Nessarose dies, they pulled a trap and captured Elphie, but Fiyero came to the rescue and so they take him to torture until he breaks down. She does a spell(Eleka Namhem) so the torture won't hurt him turning him into the Scarecrow.

Makes sense? And for the future, if you use google, you can find scripts and summaries very easily.

To the girls defense,
The Original Cast Album has no synopsis. So in lest, you are really good at guessing, You couldn't tell what happened in the story, except for a few places. I mean I figured out 80% of the story, without reading the synopsis (I have never seen the show, live, either...) But it is annoying to ask these kind of questions--when you can go to wikipedia.com, and read virtually every musical synopsis!

Galinda, drives me nuts... I do not like her character at all... The whole character in itself, drives me crazy.

I have never seen it but at the end I dont think that they end up hating eachother. But here is what the synopsys says at the very end.

Glinda is sadly preparing to tell the news of the Elfie's death to the populace, although they think it's great. She mourns, ponders, and cherishes her lifechanging friendship with Elfie, as the voices of the whole cast come together to end the show in a bittersweet ode(Finale). I think there is an obvious clash but there is an enormous respect and a very strong underlying friendship.

Basically its a love/hate relationship with those 2....one minute thier best friends and the nextminute they hate eachother....all in all its a great play and i recomend to everyone to go and see it....ive seen it 2x and id love to see it again

Actually, at the end of the musical, Glinda and Elphaba are friends.

In the very end, they don't end up hating each other, Glinda just pretends to so that she doesn't end up hated by the citizens of Oz.

Becuase Galinda sells out to the Wizard and works for her, when Elphaba follows her own convictions.

Which is the great moral of the story - be yourself and you will be happy but everyone will hate you.

Be who everyone wants you to be and YOU end up miserable but loved and rich and beautiful.

I think Galinda and Elphaba learn from each other and each make sacrifices for the good of Oz - Galinda can't support her friend even though she wants too because she knows that the people need her. Elphaba knows that she cannot change the prejudice of the people and so simply takes the man she loves and lives a very private happily ever after while being the bigger person and satisfying the people who hate her with a fake death. These two women are friends - but unfortunately what is best for Oz is not what is best for them, so they have to choose.
